Home / OEM sensor
Buy the sensor, not the whole kit For companies that already have the product: instrument makers, display and head-unit makers, telematics houses and brands building their own system. You need the sensor; we build the sensor.
Send your requirement Sensor specificationWho this is for
Most of our ODM conversations are about a complete product. This page is for the other kind of buyer: one who already has the enclosure, the branding and the channel, and needs a sensing element and a radio inside it.
| Instrument and meter makers | You build the display, we supply the wireless sensor that feeds it. |
|---|---|
| Head-unit and telematics makers | You already ship a connected device; the tyre-pressure input is missing from the range. |
| Solution houses and integrators | You deliver a system to an end customer and need a reliable sensing component under it. |
| Brands building their own product | You want the sensor to carry your part number, not somebody's product name. |
What can be customised
Hardware and marking
- Your part number laser-marked on the sensor.
- Wheel-position convention — yours, not ours; we mark per batch.
- Battery form — replaceable CR1632 or a sealed cell.
- Bulk packing for a production line, rather than retail packaging.
Radio and software
- The Bluetooth service and characteristics can be adapted so your own app or gateway can read the sensor.
- Documentation of the radio behaviour, released under an agreement.
- Sensor-type identification where more than one sensing function shares a receiver — a development item we scope with you.
What "OEM supply" does not mean. We do not promise exclusivity on the platform, and we do not give you a component whose radio behaviour we cannot document — that would leave you unable to integrate it. Both points are worth raising early, because they shape what the programme can be.
| Bluetooth | BLE 4.1 |
|---|---|
| Frequency band | 2400 – 2483.5 MHz |
| TX power / data rate | 3 dBm / 1 Mbps |
| RX sensitivity | −95 dBm @ 1 Mbps |
| Power | CR1632 coin cell (replaceable) |
| Operating temperature | −20 °C – +80 °C |
| Storage temperature | −40 °C – +85 °C |
| Humidity | 5 – 95 % non-condensing |
| Monitors | Pressure and temperature, with alarm thresholds |
The questions we will ask you
- Where does the reading go? Your own app, your own display, or a controller over serial or CAN. This decides whether you need only the sensor, or a sensor plus a receiver.
- Which vehicles and how many wheel positions? The platform works in the 2.4 GHz band (2400–2483.5 MHz, BLE 4.1) and handles up to 256 positions on one installation.
- Does your own software have to talk to the sensor? If yes, the Bluetooth documentation moves onto the critical path and should be agreed early.
- What can be fixed and what is still open? A component programme runs on a frozen specification; one that keeps improving does not run.
A component supply programme succeeds or fails on those four answers. We would rather spend a call on them than send a quotation built on assumptions — and if your requirement is better served by a receiver-based platform, we will say so. See the receiver options and the application pages for where this platform fits and where it does not.
